Early results from Thursday's election in Uganda have President Yoweri Museveni with a significant lead over his rivals, reports the Daily Monitor (Kampala).
Museveni, 76, who has been in power since 1986, is being challenged by popular singer-turned-activist, Bobi Wine, 38.
As of early Friday, Museveni had won 64 percent of the votes, with about 29 percent of votes tallied. Wine had won about 29 percent, reported Reuters.
