Three explosions struck the city of Kandahar Monday morning in southern Afghanistan, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
Authorities said two bombs were planted meters away from each other on a downtown road frequented every morning by the provincial police chief.
Two Afghan civilians were killed and another was wounded when those bombs exploded in quick succession, said police. A police vehicle was damaged in the blast.
