The joint German-Dutch Rapid Forces Division has just completed a two-week exercise simulating the defense of Germany's industrial Ruhr region, reports defense-aerospace.com.
Around 3,000 troops took part. The Netherlands supplied five CH-47 Chinook transport helicopters, six AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, 250 soldiers from its helicopter command and nearly 500 troops from 11 Airmobile Brigade, said a release from the Dutch Ministry of Defense.
