Multinational Naval Drills Held Off Cape Town

The South African navy has just completed a trilateral exercise with the Russian and Chinese navies, reports the South China Morning Post.

Chinese and Russian warships arrived in Cape Town on Nov. 24, reported Defence Web (South Africa).

China sent the frigate Weifang, while Russia sent the cruiser Marshal Ustinov, fleet tanker Vjazma and rescue tug SB-406. The South African navy contingent included the frigate Amatola and survey ship Protea.
