The Georgian military has been joined by troops from five NATO nations for two weeks of joint exercises at the Vaziani military base outside the capital, Tbilisi, reports Civil Georgia.
About 220 U.S. Marines and platoon-size units from Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania launched the exercise on Wednesday. Troops from Georgia's 42nd Battalion, 4th Mechanized Brigade, are also participating.
