Multi-National Drills Emphasize Anti-Piracy Efforts

India plays host this week to a major four-day naval exercise in the Bay of Bengal off the coast of the Andaman and Nicobar islands, reports the Chandigarh Tribune.

Scheduled to begin on Feb. 4, the exercise will focus on defending coastal areas from piracy and poaching, as well as preventing maritime terrorism, according to Indian naval officials.
