Multi-Mode Radars Ordered For MH-60R Helicopters

Lockheed Martin has awarded Telephonics Corp., Farmingdale, N.Y., a $330 million contract to supply radars for U.S. Navy helicopters.

The multi-year deal covers the delivery of 160 AN/APS-153 multi-mode radar systems, spare parts and engineering support.

The radars will be integrated with the Lockheed advanced mission avionics package and installed on MH-60R Seahawk helicopters. Some of the systems are also designated for Australian MH-60Rs, which are being procured under the...
