The Kremlin reportedly wants to help destroy the remnants of the Islamic State terrorist group in western Iraq, reports the Military Times.
A top official said Moscow would like to discuss such a role with the United States. This followed this week's announcement that ISIS had been defeated in Syria.
"We are ready to hold dialogue and join American counterparts in solving this issue" said Valery Gerasimov, Russia's deputy defense minister, as cited by the Tass news agency. ...
