Moscow Remains Eager To Provide Mi-17s To Afghanistan

Russia says it is willing to provide Mi-17 helicopters to Afghanistan and has set no constraints on a possible deal, reports RIA Novosti, citing a Kremlin aide.
Moscow could make the aircraft under a possible NATO contract or as part of a potential U.S.-led tender, said the aide.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Afghan President Hamid Karzai are scheduled to meet Wednesday in Sochi to discuss the issue.
