Moscow Pledges Additional Military Assistance

The Kremlin is going to provide more assistance to the Tajik military, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).
Word of the promised aid came from Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov, who met on Tuesday with Tajik Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Sherali Mirzo in Dushanbe, the Tajik capital.
"We are convinced that, by helping Tajikistan and the armed forces of Tajikistan become stronger, we are enhancing Russia's security," Antonov said.
