Russia has agreed to purchase at least two French Mistral-class command and projection warships, Defense News reports.
Two ships will be jointly built by French companies DCNS and STX and the OSK Russian shipyard, said officials. The contract includes an option for two more warships.
Most of the work over the next four years will be done at the Saint-Nazaire shipyard in northern France, according to the contract.
