Moscow May Seek To Trade Detained Ukrainian Sailors For Russian Prisoners

Russia says it could release 24 Ukrainian soldiers seized off the coast of Crimea in a prisoner exchange later this year, reports the Ukrainian Independent Information Agency (UNIAN).

The sailors would have to stand trial before their potential release, a high-ranking diplomatic source told the pro-government Izvestia newspaper on Friday. 

The source suggested that the sailors could be released in exchange for Russians held in Ukrainian prisons.
