Mortar rounds apparently fired from Afghanistan have struck a border village in Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal agency, Agence France-Presse reports.
The attack on Thursday hit Teti Madakhel village in the Mir Ali district, killing five people and wounding six others, Pakistani intelligence officials said.
The shelling originated in the neighboring Afghan province of Khost, said the officials.
NATO said it was investigating.
