The Indian Defense Ministry says the delivery of a former Russian aircraft carrier has again been delayed this time until December 2012, reports the India Press Information Bureau.
The requirement for additional work and a change in the scope of planned trials forced the postponement, said Defense Minister A.K. Antony.
The additional work is expected to extend the service life of the Vikramaditya significantly, Antony said.
