A senior Iranian official says Tehran has begun work on a new uranium enrichment plant as part of the expansion of its nuclear program, Reuters reports.
The Iranian government announced in November that that it would build 10 new enrichment plants, a decision condemned by the United States and numerous European nations.
In February, top Iranian nuclear official Akbar Salehi said that Tehran would start construction of two enrichment sites by March 2011.
