More UAV Monitoring Automation Could Reduce Manpower Needs

The U.S. Air Force is considering adding more automation to handle the often tedious task of monitoring unmanned aerial vehicles to reduce the burden on personnel, reports the Air Force Times.

A single combat patrol by MQ-1 Predator or MQ-9 Reaper UAVs requires 174 airmen to monitor the feeds.
