U.S. defense officials say dozens of troops and more equipment will be sent to support peacekeepers in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, reports Arutz Sheva (Israel).
At least 75 additional troops, including a light infantry platoon and a surgical team, will be deployed, said unnamed defense officials on Wednesday.
Additional surveillance equipment and other assets will be sent for protection, said the officials.
