The last stronghold of an Islamist militant group in southern Yemen has been recaptured by government troops, Reuters reports.
Soldiers seized the port town of Shaqra in Abyan province on Friday, killing at least 17 militants, officials said.
Fighters from Ansar al-Sharia, which is linked to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), reportedly fled to Azzan in neighboring Shabwa province.
