North Korea has test-fired a pair of short-range ballistic missiles, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
On Friday, North Korea launched two projectiles about 10 minutes apart from Uiju, North Pyongan province, eastward into the Sea of Japan, said the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The weapons flew about 270 miles (430 km) and reached a maximum altitude of 22 miles (36 km) and a top speed of Mach 6 (about 4,600 mph, 7,400 kph), the JCS said.
