The Zambian army is seeking a larger budget for operations and training, reports the Times of Zambia.
More funding is also needed for administration, said Gen. Paul Mihova, the army chief, during an annual social event last week in Lusaka.
To maintain its professionalism, the army has been forced to send its personnel to training courses domestically and abroad. A lack of funding has made this too expensive as well, said Mihova.
