More Focused Recruiting Needed For Navy, Says Admiral

The head of the Canadian navy says the service needs to raise its profile domestically to improve its recruiting efforts, reports the Ottawa Citizen.
Vice Adm. Dean McFadden said that recent military recruiting efforts have been focused on the army.
Recruiting, which is centralized for all three services, focused on land forces in order to support operations in Afghanistan.
In the meantime, recruiting shortages and retirements have left the navy with insufficient personnel...
