More Fighting Reported With Al-Shabaab

At least 10 people have been killed in fighting on Sunday between Al-Qaida-linked insurgents and pro-government militiamen in central Somalia, reports the Shabelle Media Network (Somalia).

Al-Shabaab insurgents ambushed fighters from the pro-government Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a militia in the village of El-Qohle, said residents.

The region was an Al-Shabaab stronghold before Ahlu Sunna and Ethiopian troops launched a recent offensive, and Ahlu Sunna retained control of the area. ...
