The USS San Antonio has encountered more engine problems, the Navy Times reports.
The amphibious transport ship, the first of a large class, entered a Norfolk shipyard in December 2009 for a scheduled overhaul. The ship has had an unusual number of issues.
Engineers found foundation bolts on the ship's engines and main reduction gears were not properly aligned or tightened, causing vibrations in the drive train.
