India's army has finalized its plans to induct women into the military police, says a senior officer, as reported by PTI.
The head of the army announced in June that women would be allowed into combat positions, starting with the military police.
The plan is to induct about 800 women into the military police at a rate of 52 personnel a year, said Lt. Gen. Ashwani Kumar on Friday.
