More Cobras, Hueys To Join Marines

The U.S. Marine Corps has placed an order with Bell Helicopter, a subsidiary of Textron, for more attack and utility helicopters, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The $546 million contract covers the delivery of Lot 7 UH-1Y and AH-1Z helicopters.
The deal includes 18 UH-1Y new-build aircraft, nine AH-1Z remanufactured helicopters and two new-build AH-1Zs.
Work under the contract is scheduled to be completed in July 2013.
