The bodies of five of 16 missing Afghan national policemen have been found in Wardak province in eastern Afghanistan, the Washington Post reports.
The remains of four other officers were recovered earlier, according to the provincial governor's spokesman.
The officers vanished last week from their remote base in neighboring Ghazni province. A Taliban spokesman initially said the policemen defected.
