More Armor Planned For Light Vehicles Used In Afghanistan

The Australian government is moving ahead with plans to upgrade Australian Light Armored Vehicles (ASLAVs) for operations in Afghanistan, reports the Australian Dept. of Defense.
The modernization of the vehicles, worth Aus$302.8 million (US$256 million), involves additional armor and suspension, driveline and engine improvements.
