The Indian Spare Research Organization (ISRO) has successfully launched a lunar probe after a scheduled launch last week was cancelled, reports the Times of India.
Chandrayaan-2 launched successfully on Monday from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
The system consists of three separate elements: an orbiter, a lander and a rover, reported CNN. The mission is India’s first effort at conducting a soft landing on the moon’s surface.
