India has formally launched its first private-sector howitzer manufacturing plant, reports the Times of India.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi formally inaugurated the Armored Systems Complex during a ceremony at the Larsen & Toubro (L&T) facility in Hazira in the western Gujarat state.

The 40-acre complex will be used to manufacture the K9 Vajra self-propelled howitzer, as well as future infantry combat vehicles, future ready combat vehicles and future main battle tanks,...
