MoD Displays Variety Of Defense Innovations

The U.K. Ministry of Defense has been showing off innovations developed under its Center for Defense Enterprise (CDE) program in Harwell, Oxfordshire, reports the Times of London.
The initiative aims to harness scientific innovation for rapid deployment to the battlefield.
The ministry tests 15 of every 100 applications, said officials; of these, two are then developed.
About 5 million pounds (US$7.8 million) has been spent so far under the program.
