MoD Agency Orders Development Of Active Protection System For Land Vehicles

The U.K. Defense Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL), an agency of the Ministry of Defense, has signed a 10 million pound (US$13 million) contract with a Leonardo-led team to demonstrate an active protection system electronic architecture, reports Defense News.
The Icarus technology demonstrator program will build the foundation for the potential deployment of the capability across the British army's vehicle fleet, said Leonardo officials.
