A North Korean diplomat has fled his country's embassy in Italy and may be seeking asylum in a third country, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
Jo Song Gil, the charge d'affaires of the North Korean embassy in Rome, was last seen in late November, days before he was due to return to Pyongyang, officials from South Korea's National Intelligence Service (NIS) told lawmakers on Thursday.
Jo and his wife are under the protection of Italian authorities and may be seeking asylum...
