USA—Missile Defense Agency Issues Classified Request For New Interceptor

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has issued a draft request for proposals (RfP) to industry for a new ballistic missile interceptor, reports Breaking Defense. The document was released on Aug. 29, about two weeks after the Redesigned Kill Vehicle (RKV) program for the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system was cancelled.
