Mislabeling Of Oil Prompts Air Force Flight Restrictions

The Royal Canadian Air Force has acknowledged that it had to temporarily restrict flights of all military aircraft when concerns were raised that the wrong type of oil might have been used in the planes, reports the Ottawa Citizen.

The oil was mislabeled by a supplier and the extent of the problem was unknown.

The issue came up on Aug. 30, when a technician at 8 Wing in Trenton, Ontario, discovered that the wrong type of oil may have been used in an aircraft.
