China and Pakistan have pledged to strengthen their defense ties.
Defense Minister Liang Guanglie met Wednesday in Beijing with Adm. Muhammad Asif Sandila, the Pakistani navy chief, and promised to improve strategic communication and military cooperation with Pakistan, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
The militaries long maintained close cooperation in weapons technology, joint exercises, search-and-rescue and humanitarian relief, said the Chinese defense minister. ...
