Minister Finalizes $1.8 Billion In Russian Arms Deals

Libyan Defense Minister Yunis Jaber signed a number of arms contracts with Russia during his visit to Moscow this week, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).
Agreements worth US$1.8 billion covered Tripoli's purchases of 12 Su-35 fighters, six Yak-130 trainers and upgrading of 145 T-72 tanks.
Libya also finalized a deal to build a plant to produce AK-100 assault rifles, said an unnamed source.
