Minelayer Set To Join Anti-Piracy Efforts Near Somalia

The Finnish navy is about to send a minelayer to join international counter-piracy operations off the coast of Somalia, reports the Finnish News Agency.

The Pohjanmaa is joining the European Union's Atalanta operation, which focuses on protection World Food Program shipping.

The vessel is scheduled to arrive in the region in about a month, officials said.
