Military UAV Completes Mapping Mission

A Chinese military unmanned aerial vehicle has undertaken a digital mapping mission near the Helan mountain in northwest China, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.

The drone, assigned to the Lanzhou Military Area Command, captured high-definition imaging data during the five-hour mission, officials said on Wednesday.

This was the first time such an air vehicle had been used for military mapping, said unnamed military sources.
