The U.S. military has taken custody of about 40 high-value ISIS prisoners previously held by Syrian Kurd fighters in northern Syria, reports the Washington Post.
On Wednesday, President Donald Trump said the U.S. was moving some of the most dangerous detained members of the terrorist group to safe locations.
The ISIS members were held in several prisons in northern Syria that were guarded by Kurdish forces before a Turkish military operation that began on Wednesday.
