Military To Step Up Responses To Incursions Into National Airspace

Defense Minister Chiu Kuo-cheng has warned that Taiwan will treat Chinese military aircraft violating its airspace as a “first strike,” reports the Straits Times (Singapore).

The move comes amid recent Chinese drone and aviation operations near the dividing lines between the countries.

While Chinese aircraft and ships have stepped up operations in the Taiwan Strait, they have not yet violated Taiwan’s territorial waters and airspace.
