The Israel Defense Forces are reducing the mandatory military service requirement for men under a law passed in 2016, reports the Times of Israel.
The service requirement for men is being shortened from 32 months to 30 months. The change is set to go into effect immediately. The reduction was agreed to by the defense and finance ministries in 2015.
The IDF previously reduced the service requirement from 36 months to 32 months in 2015.
Women are currently required to serve 24 months...
