Military Seeks Chinook Heavy-Lift Helicopters From U.S.

The U.S. State Dept. has approved the potential sale of CH-47F Chinook heavy-lift helicopters to the United Arab Emirates, reports the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
The potential US$830 million sale covers 10 helicopters, in addition to 26 T55-GA-714A engines; 24 embedded Global Positioning Systems with inertial navigation system (GPS/INS); 12 AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning Systems (CMWS); 20 M134D-H mini guns; and 20 M240H machine guns.
