Military Routs Militants In S. Kivu Province

The Congolese military says it has pushed out a rebel group from its eastern border region, reports Agence France-Presse. 

On Sunday, the military said it had dislodged the National Council for Renewal and Democracy (CNRD) from bases in the South Kivu province. 

On Nov. 26, the military began the operation against the group, which is an offshoot of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR).
