The Philippine military has rescued a Catholic priest who was kidnapped almost four months ago by Islamic State-linked militants when they occupied Marawi in the southern part of the country, reports Agence France-Presse.
Father Teresito Suganob was freed late Saturday when the military reportedly captured the command center of the remaining militants in Marawi.
Suganob was kidnapped in May along with 13 parishioners during the first day of fighting in Marawi.
