American military commanders are reportedly preparing contingency plans for a quicker withdrawal from Iraq, anticipating that Present-elect Barack Obama will change the current schedule, the New York Times reports.
During his presidential campaign, Obama pledged to withdraw all combat forces by May 2010, but the current military plans are scheduled around the U.S.-Iraqi security pact, which calls for all American troops to withdraw by the end of 2011.
