A new photo recently released by the Chinese air force suggests that China may be testing a new beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile in combat exercises, reports the China Daily.
The image posted by the military shows a J-11B twin-engine fighter carrying the large missile -- measuring about a quarter of the jet's 72-foot (22-m) length -- during the Red Sword drills in northwestern China in November.
