Kuwait has opened new military roles for women, reports Turkey's Anadolu Agency.
Women in the country can now join the military as specialty officers and non-commissioned officers, Defense Minister Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al Ali Al Sabah announced on Tuesday.
Those positions will be confined to medical and support specialties, reported the state-run Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
