Turkish officials have confirmed the deployment of rocket launchers and anti-aircraft guns to its border with Syria, the BBC reports.
The move is seen as a response to last week's downing of a Turkish F-4 Phantom jet by Syrian forces.
The aircraft crashed into the Mediterranean Sea after briefly entering Syrian airspace. The two pilots remain missing.
