Defense Minister Gen. Mahamat Abali Salah has announced that Chad will deploy a battalion of troops to the borders of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger following growing militant violence in the region, reports the Defense Post. Salah discussed the deployment on Monday with his counterparts from France and Sweden.
