Military May Make Maritime Border Patrols With Vietnam

Indonesia's military chief says his government has been considering coordinated border patrols with Vietnam to bolster security along their maritime frontier in the South China Sea, reports Antara News, Indonesia's national news agency.

Adm. Agus Suhartono indicated that Indonesia is open to such patrols with all of its neighbors.

"We won't shift our patrol force in the Malacca Strait to the South China Sea. We will only conduct border safeguarding bilaterally with countries...
